Rhymes help people remember information.
For many years, as physician-teachers, the dynamic duo of Drs. Frank and Tal Berkowitz have often concluded lectures to students and colleagues with short poems that summarize the content of the lecture. These are always received with applause.
Over time Tal and Frank accumulated many poems on microbiology (as well as other subjects in medicine).
The accompanying paintings illustrated throughout the book including the cover image are by Frank.
Tal and Frank have a unique perspective as medical professionals. This diverse collection of poems aim to deepen an understanding and appreciation for infectious diseases. This collection would appeal to doctors, medical students, nurses, other health care providers, and members of the general public who want to learn science in a fun way.

Tal and Frank will be donating the proceeds from the book to Sur Legal Collaborative, an immigrant and worker rights nonprofit legal organization based in Atlanta, Georgia.
